Jack Tame interviews Opportunity leader Qiulae Wong on Q & A

At the Blue Review Liam Hehir's verdict:

"This type of scrutiny is not something that the Opportunity Party has been subjected to for a long time. Gareth Morgan got his share of difficult interviews, which was understandable because of his already high profile and reputation for strongly and bluntly expressed opinions. Under subsequent leadership, TOP has both suffered and benefited from its lower profile, where it has been treated more as an occasional curiosity than a serious contender.

That’s no longer the case and today leader Qiulae Wong found herself under the blowtorch from the aforementioned Jack Tame on Q+A. While Wong kept her composure the whole time, it would be fair to say that she would not look back on the interview as any kind of triumph. The biggest takeaway for most viewers would be that, on several fairly obvious but persistently asked questions by Tame, she simply could not give specific, or even convincingly vague, answers..."

TOP supporters will find Wong’s answers and performance just fine and supporters of other parties will think Tame skewered her. Her image is just great - Jacinda with smarts - and Tame is a hair splitter. I think TOP is nuts and left wing but they’re going to be in Parliament.

QQ was blushing very strongly under all that makeup for about 50% of the interview.

Her micro-expressions were off the scale.

It's all getting a bit real now, isn't it love?

Brilliant penetrating interview by Jack Tame. Revealed for all to see are the policies by top to drive the wealthy job creators out of the country and make returning to NZ unattractive to our overseas Kiwis.

This will result in much more debt at a time when we're already paying $24 million a day in interest.

Did Jack Tame ask about obvious contradictory policies regarding the age of responsibility (under 25 years of age) as it applies to the justice system, and TOP's policy on the voting age (18) and whether she supports lowewring it still further to 16. This combination of contradictory policies that are a feature of the Greens and possibly even the Labour Party. The fact that these two policies even co-exist as a policy mix, is evidence of either ignorance, or quite conscious and egregious attempts to manipulate the democratic process in the Party's favour (a form of gerrymandering) . All journalists worthy of the name ought to be all over this.

Does anyone else find jack tame sickening. Wasting time taking about 400k donations when national have raised far more . She's talking about changing the rules later, not right now. Jack tame is wasting time. Even his point on the board over ruling decisions. All party's have backdoor influencers. I was hoping he would interview on. Policy positions which he hasn't even asked one question on policy until the tax question neatly half way through . What a time wasting amateur. Bring back Sainsbury!
