RICHARD PREBBLE: Keep Middle East hatreds out of New Zealand
As I left for David Seymour’s meeting in Rotorua, my wife warned me.
“Be careful of the demonstrators.”
“There wasn’t one at his campaign opening in Auckland.”
“But this is Rotorua.”
As usual, she was right.
There was a mob of protesters. A sea of Palestinian flags.
I thought it interesting that none of the protestors recognised me.
Throughout the meeting, we could hear the protesters using megaphones trying to prevent New Zealand’s Deputy Prime Minister from speaking.
When Seymour took questions, someone asked his views on Israel and Palestine.
He told us that a Jewish school in his electorate must employ security guards. After the Bondi Beach massacre, the school was guarded by armed police.
On the protesters, Seymour remarked:
“The conflict has been going on for 4,000 years. What do they expect me to do?”
I know what I want our government to do.
Keep the Middle East conflict in the Middle East.
I support the government refusing visas to extremists who advocate violence.
When assessing immigrants, I am less concerned about their command of English than whether they intend to bring old hatreds with them.
And I do not want our next Deputy Prime Minister to chant “From the river to the sea”.
Chlöe Swarbrick knew, or ought to have known, that is a call for the destruction of Israel.
Our MPs cannot settle the Israel/Palestine conflict. What they can do is everything in their power to keep that conflict out of this country.

We should not keep the Middle East hatreds out of New Zealand, Richard Prebble..
Rather New Zealand must follow the Pro-Christian, Pro-Israel, Anti-militant Islam line - behind our courageous US President, Donald Trump..
I hate Militant Islam - that for half a century has been waging a relentless, fanatic war against the United States and against our whole Western civilisation.
UNDERSTANDING THE ROGUE PILOT
When ‘good’ Muslims go ‘bad’
Flydubai Flight FZ1073 was headed from Dubai to Tel Aviv with 174 people aboard, nearly all Israeli, when the Omani Muslim co-pilot stabbed the Indian captain and tried to crash the plane.
With presence of mind and great personal fortitude, the wounded captain managed to open the cockpit door, and Israeli passengers rushed in and restrained the attacker.
To those not well-acquainted with Islamic doctrine, this probably seems pretty random.
In all the fallout and searching for answers, apologists for Islam will undoubtedly blow their usual smoke about “lone wolf attack” and mental health issues.”
But what if the attacker’s actions make perfect sense according to mainstream Islamic theology?

TWO-TIER LAW ENFORCEMENT AT ITS FINEST
Throughout the West: two-tier policing at its finest. This is basically soft-pedalling on the group most likely to kick off, and going in hard on the peaceable counter-protesters.
Hamassholes get to shout and placard hate speech and incitement without penalty, such as:
(1) “From the River [Jordan] to the [Mediterranean] Sea, Palestine [sic] will be [Jew] free;
(2) “End the Occupation” (a reference not just to Gaza or the West Bank, but refers to eradication of the entire State of Israel);
(3) “Globalise the Intifada” (translation : “Rise up, attack, and slaughter Jews everywhere”); and
(4) “Khaybar, Khaybar, ya Yahūd — jaysh Muḥammad sawfa ya‘ūd!”, meaning “Khaybar, Khaybar, O Jews — Muhammad’s army will return!”
This is…
Good one Richard. The level of ignorance of Middle East History, notably among our Green politicians, but sadly among too many of the wider population, results in a lot of misguided keffiyeh wearing and attendance at pro- Palestine protests. Israel has existed for more than 3000 years and the wide diaspora of Jewish people who have returned there since 1948 have ancestral rights to live in Israel. If there is an answer to this endless conflict it is not to deny the right for Israel to exist.
Those who love Islam, Sharia law and so on have a simple choice, to live in an Islamic-ruled country that more suits their beliefs.
