Hi David, like you I am in your age group and has also started to become active. I have been a great observer of politics starting when Sid Holland was the PM.
Over the last 65 years I have taken a great interest in New Zealand's progress. A lot of ups and downs, some good and some bad decisions. Most of the time I voted for center, and right of center parties. 2017 election I decided that the ACT party seemed to have the most commonsense policies overall.
Now we have a serious situation in this fair land where nothing gets done. Nothing is remedied. Too many committees', too many unproductive Govt. employees.

This is all very nice, sitting at our computers grizzling. How about we get up off our proverbials and DO SOMETHING. Groundswell NZ are planning something big. Please check them out. How about getting up a petition in your area to stop 3 waters? That's what we're trying. Join Voices For Freedom. Let's just do it. We can win this if we stop moaning and start moving.

Am I a 20% Maori? My ancestors arrived here 160 years ago. I wasn't expecting to have my share of the cake stolen from me or my children, grandchildren and greatgrandchildren. Is Cinders still playing in the ashes when the Kindy needs supervision?

I'm not sure if it's the 20% Maori or the 80% European (?) that's talking here. Who stole your cake? Or in exchange, were you given something infinitely better by way of education, housing, health, all mod cons and advantages that come with Western Civilisation?
